The 1957 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupe introduced several notable advancements. A significant design update was the transition to a one-piece curved windshield, replacing the earlier split-screen design, which enhanced both aesthetics and driver visibility. Inside, the dashboard was trimmed in leather, with walnut as an optional feature, and early models featured an aluminum center dash panel with an “X” pattern engraving, a design element later seen in early 3.8-liter E-Type models.

Under the hood, the XK150 was powered by a 3.4-liter DOHC straight-six engine, initially producing 180 SAE bhp. The XK150 was also among the first vehicles to be equipped with four-wheel Dunlop 12-inch disc brakes, enhancing its braking performance. These standard features underscored Jaguar’s commitment to blending performance with luxury in the XK150 Drophead Coupe.
