A few years ago, a Ford mechanic packed up his toolbox and began a restoration that has only a few equals. These are the Twin Cam, RS1600, Mexico and RS2000 versions of the MK1 Escort, along with the RS3100 Capri. An AVO body is a must for the enthusiast and purist.
The Escort always remained in Finland until the car ended up in a Dutch collection of classic cars and motorcycles a few years ago.
